The Deering Estate was built in the 1920s by Charles Deering, brother of James Deering (who built Vizcaya). The property features two historic houses, the Richmond Cottage (1900) and the Stone House (1922), along with 444 acres of environmentally protected land including pine rocklands, tropical hardwood hammocks, and mangrove forests. The estate sits on a natural coral ridge overlooking Biscayne Bay.
Weddings at Deering Estate take place on the Great Lawn, beneath the ancient live oaks, or on the waterfront terrace. The venue accommodates 50 to 250 guests and attracts couples who value natural beauty, history, and eco-conscious celebrations.
At Deering Estate, our floral design celebrates the property's natural environment. We use wild-inspired arrangements with native-feeling florals, loose bouquets of garden roses, seasonal wildflowers, and textural greenery that complement the estate's oak canopy and bayfront landscape. Color palettes tend toward soft, earthy tones, sage, ivory, champagne, and dusty rose.
